Monique Shivanandan is a CISO at HSBC.
She joined Chubb in November 2017, after leading the digital transformation of Aviva, a multi-national insurer headquartered in the UK. Prior to Aviva, Monique had a successful career at Capital One, British Telecommunications, BellSouth Corporation and American Management Systems. Earlier roles at British Telecom and Bell South established her credentials in infrastructure and cyber security.
Monique is a firm advocate of women in technology. Although traditionally IT has been seen as a male-dominated environment, Monique Shivanandan, and many of her close network of senior, professional women, are showing that this is no longer the case.
Monique Shivanandan has faced the challenge that many working women do – juggling a professional career with a family. She uses this experience to coach women in all levels of the organization, both IT and non-IT leaders as she firmly believes that a company with a diverse workforce is a strong company.
