DevOps Engineer

Location: Lisbon; Hybrid office/home.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development teams to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, as well as identify and implement improvements to our systems and processes.

DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms
  • Build and maintain deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions (GHA)
  • Implement and manage containerization solutions, especially Docker and Kubernetes
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform
  • Ensure secure, high-performance, and reliable software delivery across our infrastructure platforms
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements, including automation and monitoring solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies
  • Report directly to Head of DevOps

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar role
  • Strong experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with deployment pipeline technologies such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins and others
  • Strong scripting skills using languages such as Python or Bash
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and infrastructure management tools
  • Familiarity with database technologies (Elasticsearch, SQL, Redis)
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC2)
